Vietnam draws visitors along a ribbon: Hanoi's street chaos and French colonial streets in the north, Ha Long Bay's limestone karsts, rice paddies on the Mekong, and Ho Chi Minh City's energy and food scene. Backpackers and families both find their pace here, moving slowly or hopping quickly depending on preference.

Hanoi Noi Bai (HAN) and Ho Chi Minh City's Tan Son Nhat (SGN) are the main hubs. Both handle arrivals efficiently, though evening waves can create backup — 15 to 25 minutes is typical. English speakers are common at immigration; the process is straightforward if your documents are in order.
