Privacy Policy
We collect as little as possible, and we never sell your data. Here is exactly what that means.

The short version
The travel check packet is assembled in your browser. Building it saves your supplied trip details on this device so you can return to them. The builder does not send your notes as a report submission or offer email delivery. Loading pages and reference files still makes website requests, as described below.
What we collect
- Travel records stored in this browser. The travel check builder saves your latest trip, including dates, reported document status, residence and notes, in local browser storage. Follow-up checkmarks are stored separately for each trip revision. This storage has no automatic expiry. Avoid entering passport numbers or other identifiers you do not need. Use “Delete saved records on this device” to remove the builder's saved records and action marks; clearing the form alone does not remove them. Browser site-data controls can also remove this storage.
- Your email address — only if you subscribe. If you sign up for our newsletter, we collect your email to send occasional updates on visa policy changes and new destination coverage. It's stored with our email service provider, and you can unsubscribe from any message.
- Basic technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider may process standard request information (such as IP address and browser type) to serve pages and protect against abuse. Requested URLs can identify the page, a passport-specific reference file, or query parameters in an incoming link. The current travel check builder does not put newly entered notes or trip details into a share URL.
Cookies and affiliate tracking
Some travel-service links are affiliate links. Clicking them may cause the partner's affiliate network to set a cookie so we're credited if you purchase. That cookie is governed by their privacy policies, it costs you nothing, and it never changes what you pay or what our checker shows. See how we make money for the full picture.
Downloaded and copied records
A downloaded PDF or text file, a printed copy, and copied clipboard text are separate from the record saved by the website. Deleting the saved browser record does not delete those copies or files you have shared. People who can access this browser profile or those copies may be able to read your entries.
How we use information
We use the little we collect only to operate the site, send the newsletter (if you subscribed), reply to your messages, and improve our guides and tools. That's it. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
Third-party services
VisaGlance links to and may rely on third parties — travel services, visa assistance providers, our email provider, and affiliate networks. We don't control how they handle data. Review their own privacy policies before you use them.
Your choices and rights
- You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time using the link in any message.
- You can ask us for a copy of, or the deletion of, the email data we hold — just email us.
- If you're in the EU/UK (GDPR) or California (CCPA/CPRA), you have rights to access, correct, delete, and opt out of the "sale" of your personal data. We don't sell data, and we'll honor any valid request — contact us to exercise these rights.
Data retention and security
We keep subscriber emails only while you're subscribed, plus a short period afterward for our records. We take reasonable measures to protect the data we hold, though no method of transmission or storage is ever perfectly secure.
Children
VisaGlance is a general-audience travel information site and isn't directed to children under 16. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children.
International visitors
VisaGlance serves travellers worldwide. If you use the site, your information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate.
Changes to this policy
If our practices change, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
