The Philippines is an island nation where tourism scatters across different circuits: Manila's sprawl, Boracay and Cebu's beaches, Palawan's limestone cliffs, and countless small islands suited to divers and backpackers. The English is widely spoken, prices are low, and the hospitality is genuine.

Ninoy Aquino International (MNL) near Manila is the busiest; Cebu (CEB) and Palawan (PPS) handle secondary flows. Manila's immigration has visa officer booths and electronic passport gates, though queues balloon mid-morning and early evening. Processing is usually 10–20 minutes if smooth.
