Macao (Macau) is a former Portuguese colony turned gambling haven just across the water from Hong Kong. Visitors mix gaming, Portuguese-influenced Creole cuisine, colonial architecture, and temples into quick trips from Hong Kong or longer stays hunting restaurants and less-crowded beaches than nearby rivals.

Macau International (MFM) is modern and compact, about 6 kilometers from downtown. Most travelers arrive via ferry from Hong Kong, which includes immigration at both departure and arrival points. The airport's immigration is simple and quick, usually 5–10 minutes. English is adequate at the airport but less common in the wider city.

Visa results start from a historical January 2025 base matrix with limited, documented corrections. A mapped destination-level source provides context only; it does not independently verify a passport-destination result.
