Tourism infrastructure is improving but remains basic compared to Thailand or Vietnam, adding to the explorer's appeal.

Yangon International (RGN) is the main hub; Mandalay (MDL) handles the north. Both airports are modest and move arrivals quickly. Immigration is straightforward, typically 5–10 minutes. English is less widespread than elsewhere in the region; have your documents ready to avoid delays.
