A U.S. passport opens doors to 116 countries without advance visa paperwork, plus another 43 destinations where entry is granted on arrival or via e-visa. The rest of the world requires upfront applications—but they're the exception. Whether for business or leisure, American passport holders find most borders welcoming.

Visa results start from a historical January 2025 base matrix with limited, documented corrections. A mapped destination-level source provides context only; it does not independently verify a passport-destination result.
